Amber Colours

Ambers are available in up to four hundred different shades.

Ambers

90% of the amber is found cognac-coloured.

The colouring of the amber is dependent on the number of the bubbles and dark wood or other plant remainings of pyrite and quartz-shares. The colour was also affected by weathering; and so there arose black to brown shades.

The colour scale ranges from white, off-white, white-blue over gray, yellow red, green, blue, brown to black.

Blue Amber

But the amber can also shimmer silver and gold when the tiniest shiny bubbles are layered. In addition you can encounter practically all mixing colours and marbling.
